Finding Good Replacement Clock Movements

Hermle Movement numbers and what they mean.

In the Hermle line of Movements they always have either 2 or 3 groups of numbers. The first group of numbers tells you what type of movement it is. Example of number and the first 3 numbers are in bold. 461-053/94 Look for the number below to see what it is. The second group in the example is the hand shaft length. 461-053/94 This is 53 mm long. The last number if it has a / is the length of the pendulum. 461-053/94 Hermle measures pendulum length from suspension spring post to regulating nut.

Here are most of the models that are available from Hermle.

The second set of numbers on the following movements are model numbers only!!

130-020 is a 8 day 1/2 hour Strike/Spring Driven - has 3 hammers below and does the Bim Bam.
130-070 is a 8 day 1/2 hour Strike/Spring Driven - has 2 bells in back.
130-080 is a 8 day 1/2 hour Strike/Spring Driven - has 2 bells top.
130-627 is a 8 day 1/2 hour Strike/Spring Driven - has 3 hammers below.
These have pendulums and have 33mm hand shaft lengths
131-030 is a 8 day 1/2 hour Strike/Spring Driven - has 3 hammers side and does the Bim Bam.
131-070 is a 8 day 1/2 hour Strike/Spring Driven - has 2 bells in back.
131-080 is a 8 day 1/2 hour Strike/Spring Driven - has 2 bells top.
Available pendulum lengths are 18-21-23-25-31-32.5-35-39-45-55cm.

So when ordering one of these with a pendulum you would ask for a 131-080/21.

The 130's and 131's are all 90mm in diameter. The depth is 2-1/4" which includes the hammer, bell and 5/8" hand shaft.

Available pendulum lengths are 11-12-15-21-23-25-26.5-27-29-31-32-34-38-43-45-48-52-55-66-75-85-94-114cm for the 020, 023, 030 and the 033.

The 040, 041, 070 and 080 has the same pendulum lengths but does not have the 15 but instead has a 16.5.

The 141's are all 85mm wide x 98mm tall. The depth is 3" which includes the hammer, bell and hand shaft on the -020 and -030. The depth is 4" on the -023 and -033.

The 840 comes in 5-85-94-100-114.

The 241's are all 85mm wide x 98mm tall. The depth is 3 1/2" which includes the hammer, bell and hand shaft on the -030, -033, -040 and -080. The depth is 3-3/4 to 4-1/4 on a rack on the 840.

The 340, 341 and 350 has a 100mm x 100mm size with a 3-1/4" depth including the hand shaft and hammers. The 351 is 120mm x 120mm with a 4-3/4" depth including the hand shaft and hammers.

Available pendulum lengths are 11-12-16.5-21-23-25-26.5-27-29-31-32-34-38-43-45-48-52-55-66-75-85-94-100-114cm for the 351-050. For the 341-020 the lengths are 11-25-33.5-35-38.5 and 45cm. For the 351-830 only a 85cm. For the 351-850 only a 114cm.

The 451 is 120mm x 120mm and the 461 is 140mm x 200mm the 471 is 152mm x 220mm. The 451is 6" deep including the hammers, and the hand shaft. The 461 and 471 are 7-1/4 " deep including the hammers, and the hand shaft.

Available pendulum lengths are 45-55-66-75-85-94-100-114cm for the 451. For the 461 and 471 the lengths are 94-114cm.

The 1050, 1051 and 1151 is 120mm x 120mm.They are 4-3/4 " deep including the hammers, and the hand shaft. The 1161 is 140mm x 200mm and is 7-1/4" deep including the hammers and hand shaft. The 1171 is 152mm x 220mm. The 1171-850 is 8" deep including the hammers and hand shaft. The 1171-890 is 9-1/2" deep including the hammers and hand shaft.

Available pendulum lengths are 15-21-23-25-26.5-27-29-31-32-34-38-43-45-48-52-55-66-75-85-94-114cm for the 1051-020,-030 and 051. The 1050 is a bracket movement. The 1051-830 and 850 have 66-85-94 pendulum lengths. The 1151-030 and 033 have 94-114 pendulum lengths. The 1151-050 and 053 have 85-94-114 pendulum lengths. The 1161 has a 94-114cm pendulum length. The 1171-850 is available in 94-114cm and the 1171-890 is available in 114cm.
